Stacie Stender, RN, MS

Mrs. Stacie C. Stender is a family nurse practitioner with 14 years of experience working in limited-resource settings in sub-Saharan Africa and the United States. She is currently the Africa Regional Technical Advisor in TB/HIV/Infectious Diseases for Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University.  Mrs. Stender lives in South Africa, and provides technical support to international non-governmental organizations in the design and implementation of TB and HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs throughout Africa. She holds a BS from the University of California San Diego and a bachelor’s and master’s of science in nursing from Johns Hopkins University, and is pursuing an MSc in infectious disease from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
