HIV Disclosure to Children

An estimated 2 million children are living with HIV and of those 90% live in sub-Saharan Africa.  With increased access to HAART, more children will be surviving to adulthood and with this comes a pressing need to ensure that children are disclosed to about their HIV status.   Dr. Brandt will explore the “why?” “when?” “who?” and “how?” of disclosing HIV status to children.
