HIV and Hepatitis

With the advent of HAART and longer survival among HIV-infected persons, liver disease from chronic viral hepatitis has emerged as a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. In this session, Dr. Nina Kim will discuss the epidemiology of chronic viral hepatitis in HIV-infected persons and review challenges in the clinical management of these coinfected patients.
