Paula Brentlinger, MD, MPH

Dr. Paula Brentlinger is a family physician with experience in
the integration of primary care and infectious-disease control
in Central America and sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Brentlinger
has worked with the Mozambican Ministry of Health (MOH)
and I-TECH colleagues to develop new integrated guidelines
for care of common signs and symptoms among
HIV-infected patients in Mozambique. The MOH subsequently
assumed leadership of this process, which resulted
in dissemination of new national guidelines in 2009.
In 2009 and 2010, Dr. Crozier led a similar initiative in
Uganda. Both projects were conducted under the auspices
of I-TECH (and/or IDCAP) in close collaboration with national
MOHs and other partners.
